About Our School

Woree State School is now thirty years old, opening in 1980.  The school is situated in attractive grounds and much effort has been invested in providing air-conditioned classrooms, playground equipment and shaded sitting areas. All teaching blocks are at ground level with dual classrooms.  This is conducive to teacher partnerships and student teams across and within year levels. Our school caters for students from Prep to Year 7.

Woree State School has a Special Education Unit that caters for students with physical and intellectual disabilities.The friendly office personnel are usually the first point of contact for parents, students, teachers and volunteers or visitors.  Volunteers or visitors are required to sign in and out at the office and obtain a visitor’s badge as a safety and security measure.
