At Woree State School our academic programs are focussed on building students’ foundational knowledge, skills, processes and values to ensure they achieve their potential. Staff work collaboratively to review, refine and plan for teaching in all areas of the Australian Curriculum. Specialist teachers also teach in a range of learning areas including Physical Education, The Arts and Health.
Woree State School has a well-documented Whole School Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting plans for each year level. Each unit of work in each learning area is planned to ensure alignment between the curriculum content, the sequenced teaching of knowledge, skills and processes and the assessment tasks required. Regular moderation ensures student work is consistently judged and reported upon in a timely manner.
